This study examines social justice and gender equality in modern society from the perspective of Basic Social Sciences (BSS). Although modernity has brought technological advancements, globalization, and increased social rationality, social and gender inequalities persist and adapt to contemporary social dynamics. This research aims to identify the manifestations of social and gender injustice, analyze the structural factors influencing inequality, and evaluate strategies to achieve justice and equality. A qualitative approach is employed, using data sources from academic literature, policy documents, and observations of social practices in society. Data collection is conducted through purposive sampling of relevant literature and documents, supported by library research. The data are analyzed thematically to identify patterns of inequality, gender relations, and their social impacts. The findings indicate that gender injustice is evident in education, the workplace, and socio-political participation, where women often face limited access, fewer opportunities, and structural discrimination embedded in social and cultural norms. From the ISD perspective, these inequalities are not merely individual issues but structural problems shaped by power relations. Addressing them requires critical education, social awareness, and institutional reform. This study concludes that social justice and gender equality are essential for building a just, humane, and inclusive society. The implications emphasize the need for integrating gender equality education, enhancing social awareness, and implementing gender-responsive policies to ensure equal access and opportunities for all members of society, thereby supporting sustainable social development.
