Abstract

Radicalism is a major threat to the security and peace of society, as well as the survival of a nation. This phenomenon has an impact on the welfare of society and can trigger conflict both in social relations (horizontal) and between society and the government (vertical). Radicalism can be positive or negative, as well as constructive or destructive. It is considered positive and constructive if it is accompanied by tolerance or social control. In Indonesia, negative radicalism becomes a threat when many young people are influenced by thoughts that tend to be violent and threaten state ideology
