This study explores the strategies and implementation of building a culture of academic ethics in higher education institutions. Academic ethics form a critical foundation for maintaining integrity, fairness, and responsibility in academic environments. The study uses a qualitative case study approach, focusing on several universities in Indonesia. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and analysis of institutional policies related to academic conduct and ethical standards. The findings reveal that successful strategies for fostering academic ethics include integrating ethical values into the curriculum, strengthening the role of lecturers as ethical role models, and encouraging active student involvement in ethical practices. Implementation is further supported by institutional commitment, regular training programs, and the enforcement of consistent disciplinary measures. However, challenges such as cultural resistance, lack of awareness, and weak oversight remain significant barriers This study emphasizes the need for a collaborative, structured, and sustainable approach to ethical development. Higher education institutions must not only serve as centers for knowledge dissemination but also play a key role in cultivating ethical academic communities and shaping future professionals with strong moral character.
