Abstract

This research aims to determine the performance of scout members in understanding the history of scouting in the values ​​of service. This research method is a qualitative approach with a book review approach and observation and data analysis. This youth development then grew into a scouting movement. Scouting is a tool for communities to meet the needs of local communities, and also a tool for organizations to achieve their organizational goals. So scouting activities provided as periodic training in scout units are just a tool, and not the aim of education. For adults, scouting is no longer a game, but a task that requires sincerity, willingness and devotion. Today's people have an obligation to voluntarily dedicate themselves for the successful achievement of organizational goals. community service, the responsibility of scout members after completing study assignments is to transfer, transform and apply knowledge from within campus to the community.
