Listening is very important in life, including in education. However, vocabulary and lack of listening practice are problems found in schools. The reasons mentioned above are why the researchers decided to conduct research using a medium called podcasts. The purpose of this study was to improve the listening skills of seventh-grade students at SMPN 27 Medan. This study used a qualitative approach with classroom action research. The students who were the subjects of this research were 23 people, whose data was obtained using observation, tests, and interviews in three cycles. Based on the above explanation, researchers can conclude that podcasts can improve students' listening skills. The research ended in cycle 3, which was stopped because in cycle 3, researchers had achieved the success criteria in action research. It can be concluded that podcasts can improve the listening skills of students at SMPN 27 Medan. Researchers can also write an action hypothesis that learning activities using podcasts as a learning medium can improve the listening skills of eleventh grade students at Kejuruan Kejuruan Vocational School. By using podcasts as a medium for learning to listen, students feel more interested and enthusiastic, because they have not tried learning using podcasts before. This is something new for them and fortunately, they feel happy and excited to use it.
