STRENGTHENING ACADEMIC ETHICS IN ONLINE LEARNING: CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES

especially in the implementation of online learning. This transformation ethics has significantly impacted the practice of academic within higher education institutions. On one hand, online learning presents challenges such as increased cases of plagiarism, cheating during examinations, and limited direct supervision. On the other hand, it also offers opportunities, including the use of plagiarism detection software, strengthening digital ethics curriculum, and integrating academic values within e-learning platforms. This article aims to analyze both the challenges and opportunities in reinforcing academic ethics during online learning. The method used is a literature review of recent journals and books discussing academic integrity in the digital age. The ethics results of this study indicate that strengthening academic requires synergy among technology, institutional regulations, and character education. Thus, online learning is not merely a challenge, but also a strategic opportunity to instill integrity in academic life..
