Abstract

This article examines academic integrity in the increasingly digital era.The rapid advancement of digital technologies has fundamentally changed the educational landscape, creating unprecedented learning opportunities while introducing complex challenges to academic integrity. The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated digital adoption, exacerbating existing concerns about academic misconduct in online environments.These advances have brought significant changes to the world of education, but have also raised new challenges related to academic integrity. This study aims to identify the challenges of academic integrity in the digital era and to offer solutions that can be implemented by educational institutions, educators, and students. This article reveals that digital plagiarism, academic writing services, data manipulation, and cheating in online exams are the main challenges. The solutions offered include an integrated technological, pedagogical, and institutional approach, including the use of plagiarism detection software, innovative assessment designs, academic ethics education, and comprehensive policy development. In conclusion, maintaining academic integrity in the digital era requires collaboration between all educational stakeholders and a holistic approach that balances technology and ethical values.
