Abstract

Indonesia, as the largest archipelagic country, has vast coastal areas with abundant natural resource potential. However, various threats such as overexploitation, pollution, and climate change have led to coastal environmental degradation. A local community-based management approach is an effective solution, supported by local wisdom. Coastal areas are transitional areas between terrestrial and marine ecosystems that have high economic value but also face various sustainability threats. Local coastal communities, with their unique socio-cultural characteristics and traditional knowledge systems, play a crucial role in managing these areas. This study aims to determine coastal area development planning strategies in response to climate change. The Analysis Hierarchy Process (AHP) is used to determine priorities in coastal area management.
