Abstract

This study aims to examine the level of students' awareness of academic ethics in writing scientific papers through a library research approach. The analysis was conducted by reviewing relevant literature to understand the extent to which students recognize and apply ethical principles in academic writing, as well as the factors that influence this awareness. The results of the study indicate that students' awareness of academic ethics is still at a low to moderate level, with limited understanding and inconsistent application. Factors contributing to this condition include the lack of formal ethical guidance, high academic pressure, and the use of technology without adequate information literacy assistance. In addition, there is a gap between students' conceptual knowledge of ethics and real practices in the field, especially in terms of plagiarism, inaccurate citations, and data manipulation. Many students also consider academic ethics training as an administrative formality, not as a process of internalizing values. This study recommends an integrated educational approach through curriculum, experience-based training, and the development of an academic culture that upholds integrity. He learning process. It is hoped that the results of this study can provide real contributions to higher education institutions in designing strategies to strengthen an ethical and character-based academic culture.
