THE IMPACT OF VILLAGE GUIDANCE ON INCREASING COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION IN VILLAGE DEVELOPMENT DECISION MAKING

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of village assistance programs on increasing community participation in decision-making related to village development. The research method used is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that village assistance plays a significant role in increasing community awareness and capacity to actively participate in the deliberation and decision-making process. Factors such as a participatory approach, information transparency, and empowerment through training have been shown to encourage community participation. In addition, assistance is also able to create a conducive atmosphere for collaboration between the village government and the community. Thus, village assistance is not only a catalyst in village development, but also improves the quality of local democracy. These findings provide important implications for community empowerment policies and sustainable development planning. evaluating the impact of village assistance on increasing community participation in village development decision-making. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method in several villages that have received intensive assistance programs. The results of the study indicate that village assistance significantly increases community participation through increased capacity, critical awareness, and involvement in village deliberation forums.
