THE NEGATIVE AND POSITIVE IMPACT OF SOCIAL MEDIA ONSOCIALIZATION PROCESS OF SCHOOL-AGE CHILDREN
Abstract
Social media is a new communication and collaboration tool that enables various types of interaction that were previously unavailable to society. Social media is widely used by children, adults and teenagers and social media has both good and bad impacts on its users, especially school-aged children. Therefore, this research aims to briefly describe the meaning of social media, the development of social media, as well as the positive and negative impacts of using social media on the socialization growth of school-aged children. This research uses a library research approach as a research method and the materials used in this research are books, journal articles, websites and writings related to this research topic.
