Abstract

Environmental issues are increasingly becoming a global challenge that demands the active participation of all elements of society, including legal education institutions. This study aims to analyze the role of legal clinics in environmental advocacy and the implementation of green law-based legal education as an effort to realize ecological justice. The method used is a normative juridical approach with a literature study, through an analysis of laws and regulations, doctrines, and scientific literature. The results of the study indicate that legal clinics play a significant role in shaping the ecological awareness of law students and expanding access to justice for the community through advocacy, counseling, and legal assistance. However, their implementation still faces obstacles such as limited resources, minimal institutional support, and low ecological literacy of students. Therefore, curriculum reorientation, institutional strengthening, and cross-sector collaboration are needed to strengthen the function of legal clinics as a means of progressive and sustainable legal education. The integration of green law values into legal clinic education is a strategic step to produce a generation of green lawyers who are ethical, environmentally conscious, and ecologically just.
