Corruption itself is an act that violates the official duties and authority of a state position to gain status or money, influence individuals, relatives, or groups, or violate rules for carrying out individual actions. The results of this research can illustrate that there are at least several reasons or motives that encourage someone in a university environment to commit corruption, namely being tempted by power and luxury. This is also driven by minimal supervision plus extensive relationships, giving rise to opportunities to carry out this act of corruption.
