DIGITAL LITERACY AND LAW CLINIC CYBERCRIME PREVENTION EFFORTS AMONG TEENAGERS
Abstract
The rapid development of digital technology has had a significant impact on adolescents' social behavior. While the digital world provides easy access to information and social interaction, it also presents various threats such as cyberbullying, online fraud, and other cybercrimes. This article aims to explain the role of the Legal Clinic and digital literacy as a preventive strategy in preventing cybercrime among adolescents. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive analytical approach, based on a literature review and observations of the Legal Clinic program in several schools and youth communities in Indonesia. The results indicate that educational activities conducted through the Legal Clinic are effective in increasing legal awareness and adolescents' ability to use technology responsibly. Digital literacy has proven to be a key factor in building individual resilience against cyber threats. This article recommends synergy between educational institutions, law enforcement, and community organizations to strengthen legal-based digital literacy among the younger generation.
