CRIMINAL PRACTICES AGAINST HUMAN TRAFFICKING CRIMES IN INDONESIA ANALYSIS OF LAW ENFORCEMENT AND VICTIM PROTECTION
Abstract
Human trafficking is a transnational crime that seriously threatens human rights and dignity. In Indonesia, the crime of human trafficking is comprehensively regulated in Law Number 21 of 2007 concerning the Eradication of Human Trafficking Crimes. This article examines the implementation of law enforcement against perpetrators of TPPO, the effectiveness of protection for victims, and various obstacles faced by law enforcement officials. The research uses a normative juridical approach with conceptual methods and case studies. The research results show that although there are regulations and a national task force, the implementation of law enforcement and victim protection still encounters several obstacles, including a lack of understanding by officials, limited supporting facilities, and weak coordination between institutions
