Abstract

This study aims to analyze how the concept of Islamic Ecology Education can shape sustainable environmental awareness for the younger generation in the digital era. Using a literature review method, this study synthesizes various sources to explore the integration between Islamic values and information technology. The results of the study indicate that theological principles such as khalifah (leader on earth), amanah (responsibility), and mizan (balance) provide a strong moral foundation for preserving nature. In the digital era, implementation strategies are carried out through value-based digital literacy, the use of interactive learning media, and the optimization of online platforms for more concrete and applicable environmental campaigns. Despite challenges such as limited teacher digital competency and access to technology, the synergy between Islamic educational institutions such as Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) and madrasahs (madrasahs) with technological innovation has great potential to produce a generation that is not only digitally savvy but also has a spiritual responsibility towards environmental sustainability.
